Thank you for checking out my post! The next best things to do is still keyword, competitor, and customer research. There are a lot of details involved in each but for me, with the boom in content marketing, I think customer or target audience research should be considered first. It's common to see that content which answers your customer's problems or questions are those which get good engagement so far.
