Jeremy has a joking tone through most of this post and I'm not sure, half the time, if he is serious or not. There are some good kickstarts in here and reminders that there is potential revenue in the social media efforts. Many have said there is not, but they said the same about websites 10+ years ago. People and companies are monetizing social media and bringing value to their brands, but they are not yet on the mainstream radar. Don't give up your social media efforts, just focus them.
