I love the verbiage "Knock Knock... Silence." That is attention grabbing. This article is very helpful in pointing out/inspiring strategies and highlighting aspects that affect whether or not the visitors want to continue (or convert). Without at least inspiring them to read, one could ask why they are doing what they are doing. That said, the "Knock Knock" got my attention here!

I think keeping them from unsubscribing is the greater challenge. Plenty are used to subscribing to get what you offer and then immediately unsubscribing.

I've dealt with plenty of clients that are more interested in making their website look a certain way than in conversions. Even when I show them 100 percent bounce rate and explain that their images are too heavy for the site and slowing down page speed, many times they still won't listen. I guess people can get stuck in their ways.

The advice in this post is spot on for gaining more conversions.
