Yeah there's hundreds of them, if there wasn't plugins like Akismet you would spend an hour every day just deleting spam.

This spam of a thing has really been a problem to many people. And, i agree with you that It doesn’t take long after launching a blog to start receiving spam comments. There is a blog i just created and, if i tell you the amount of spam comments i gets now, you won't believe it. Thanks for sharing this with us.
