In our post, How to Think about Mobile Marketing, we mentioned some stats from a Smart Insights article. Our friends at Marketing Exchange sent us this infographic which, we think, illustrates the power of mobile perfectly.
For small businesses, retail shops, and real estate agents, the most striking part of this infographic should be “Mobile’s Local Focal Point.” In any local marketing effort, mobile should always be a factor.
Mobile is what your target audience is using to find local information. Localization of the internet using mobile marketing, geolocation, and integrated social media marketing is only going to grow.
You can’t ignore this! Your competition (the successful ones at least) aren’t.

I see your big shiny section on "Global Mobile Takeover," but I also note your observations about the importance of mobile in local marketing. I'm wondering. Could there be any logic to the idea that the more global your business becomes the less you need to focus on mobile and vice versa? I'm not thinking here of the extremely general, for example the need for a mobile friendly website, but more specifically. For example, does Amazon need to worry as much about mobile marketing as Joe's Coffee Shop in Seattle? I'd love to hear your thoughts on this in the comment section of the BizSugar community where all our members can benefit.
