Unique visitors - counts only the visitor - no matter how many pages they viewed (so a high unique visitor is really good)
Page views - is how many pages a visitor viewed. 50 people could view 1000 pages. It's how many times they click from page to page on your site.

For a long time I was confused about the difference between page views and page hits. Your post really did a great job of breaking down the two. I appreciate your taking the time to do so.
Keep the great content coming and I look forward to your next post. :)
