Pretty awesome explanation, Ana. Actually, non-paid traffic can still cost you, either in time or in outsourcing some of the organic marketing efforts it takes to create it. I would argue it is still better, and worth every minute or ever penny you spend on it, than paid traffic not so much from the standpoint of creating better leads but rather because it creates better community, brand and potential for referrals than a PPC ad that simply drops traffic on your site from nowhere.
