I prefer organic traffic to referral traffic because once i can rank for a keyword it will always a steady source of traffic to my blog, but even if you get on top of Stumbleupon or reddit, the traffic don't last. And such traffic tends to increase your bounce rate because most of such visitors may not be interested on other topics and bounce off immediately they came in and that will have adverse effect your your ranking.
