Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) … is the difference between browsers and buyers. The reality is today’s digital shopper is using a host of devices to view your website and emails. That means, a one-size-fits-all approach to screen sizes and resolutions simply won’t work.

Really interesting info here. It always amazing me the diff that small chances can make.

Absolutely, we need our website to be all device friendly for better conversion.

I believe we'll see two trends:

1. Bigger wider smartphone screens (a combo of phone&tablet)

2. Small chips >> Google glass and related technologies

I'm still waiting for a future in which the majority of people own something similar to Google Glass and use it for e-commerce too. :)

As cool as Glass looks/sounds, I fear lots of problems trying to navigate the real world and all the information superimposed on it. On a hike, I would love to be able to stand on a peak and visualize the names and history of the peaks around, a map overlay of all within site. But in the streets of downtown or while I'm driving...maybe not.

Just want to share a nice resource I found and used:

http://quirktools.com/screenfly/

It's free and awesome to test an URL for different screen resolutions on several devices.

Even if they get larger, there will still be older phones with smaller screens.

You're right.

We need to optimize our websites for all screens!

They can't get much bigger than 6 inches.

Why not? We carry around tablets and laptops and have desk screens over 20-30 inches. And have you seen some of the tablet-style table-tops? What about full walls? The way I see it is that any screen size is possible, and size will only to some degree dictate how portable/stationary they are (wall size being more stationary than pocket size).

Wait to see, Chad.

How big will be the next iPhone 7 screen? :)

Luckily smart phone screens are becoming bigger with time, right David?

I remember my old Nokia cellular phone, really small!
