8 incredibly important marketing activities that a one-man or one-woman team can and should execute that will also start moving key metrics.

1) Set strategic and measurable marketing goals.

2) Establish exactly who your audience is.

3) Focus on the right social media platforms.

4) Schedule out social media updates.

5) Create evergreen content to reap short- and long-term benefits.

6) Lean heavily on calls-to-action (CTAs) to pull people through the funnel.

7) Set up a few automatic workflows and let them work their magic.

8) Use A/B tests to help drive intelligent marketing decisions.

Hi Emory,

Yea, and on the social media platform thing, advice from an online marketing friend or Website cannot take the place of honest to goodness testing to determine which platforms are most effective for your site. Not all content is created equally and it is a fact that social media platforms all have their own distinct communities. So while Twitter might not bring much traffic to your "beers of the world" site, your StumbleUpon profile might...or vice versa. The only way to know is to test each over time and see what works.

Yes, I think the time involved in testing would vs getting some quick advice would be a factor for me, at least.

Great advise. I will tell you as a one-man marketing team, #1 is one of the most important. Also being realistic with those goals. I have to always make sure that the goals I set are cost effective. By that I mean I will move on to a different goal if reaching the previous is not going to pay off. Thanks for the advice.
