I think that the best stategy is to focus on your customer only then links will come naturally otherwise you are working against Google rules and you will eventually be penalised

Just a little note though. The tip #7 and #8 and have the same heading but one is talking about page authority and the other about domain authority :) Hope you will clear it up.
