Jlynchproductions: Thanks for the information. That explains the "error icon" on our TeaParty.nu site. I will mention it to my tea friend and webmaster, Palle Frid Svensson, about this change.

I will look into Viddler's new features.

Jlynchproductions: Thanks for your kind words! :) I had the word on the tongue, something with S... ;) Seesmic it was! ;) We have the Viddler comment feature on our blog, but what I know, nobody has used this video feature on TeaParty.nu yet. If we start a series of tea tastings, procedure, how to prepare tea, etc., maybe we could get reader feedback with video reply.

Lyceum: I tried to find your Viddler videos on your blog to see how you are using the commenting and what you might be able to do to drive comments in the future. Unfortunately, it seems that your videos are no longer active. If you had a personal account, that would explain why the videos no longer work and therefore aren't getting comments via Viddler's timeline commenting.

Viddler deleted personal accounts (http://blog.viddler.com/djsteen/removal-of-personal-accounts/) a few months ago. They do still offer basic plans that would work for your needs.

Jlynchproductions: Nice videolog example ("Great Weekend")! I got hungry now! :)

We have the video comment feature on our blog, TeaParty.nu, but so far, no one have replied with a video comment. What was the name of the French company that started out with video comments and then became a tool similar to TweetDeck, HootSuite, etc.?

Nice blog! Do you mind sharing an example of where you've used video comments? Also, that company is called Seesmic, and it was acquired by Hootsuite in 2012.

27will: Thanks for your comment. Any other video tools to test out? The makers of Hipstamatic has come out with a video app, called Cinematic. I am thinking of testing it out for my upcoming chile pepper eating sessions... ;)

Jlynchproductions: Thanks for the status update for Viddler! Have you used their video commenting feature on blogs?

Lyceum: I have not done so myself, but here is a great example of Gary Vaynerchuk using it for Wine Library TV: http://tv.winelibrary.com/2009/09/08/what-wine-pairs-with-cereal-episode-734/

It's a great way to engage the viewer, and Viddler is the only company that does it. Pretty cool. :)

I am using both YouTube and Vimeo. My impression is that many startups are using Vimeo as their first pick when they are doing an instructional video. It looks more business like.

Do you know if VIddler is still around?

Viddler is still alive and well, focusing on professional online video services for businesses and enterprises. Where YouTube is a great user-generated community, Viddler is an amazing option for businesses who want a video partner for customization, reliability, and unique features.

For small business owners, Viddler still offers basic plans that can fit your needs.

To find out pricing and other specifics, you can contact Viddler's client services at 888-444-1119.

They still have a site and are projecting goals, I would say they are still around, although most people we speak to err to youtube, vimeo or both.
