The battle of whether or not you will share your good content on your blog or another is very real. As Nellie mention though, getting awards, leads, building your brand etc are all things we are trying to accomplish then expanding our reach is important.

Guest blogging has gotten a bad name, what with all the people who unfortunately see no advantage but back links. Of course, that's not the main value of publishing in related communities or on related websites at all, anymore than speaking to a local group is about handing out business cards.
