Oh boy LOL Let me explain that one CAN and SHOULD do all the "right" things with their videos, but it doesn't necessarily translate into HUGE numbers. You have heard: "the money is in the list" right? Those videos that you see with tens of thousands of views are from HUGE Internet Marketers with HUGE lists. They send out links to their videos TO their lists - hence the HUGE number of views. I am one of the "little" gals so my numbers are much less but good for one of the "little guys" :) Also, the longer a video is on Youtube, the higher the number of views. Here are a few of what I consider, for me, to be good numbers starting from the latest ones uploaded:

Youtube is a great way to get to traffic and recognition, but I've heard that there's an art to actually getting that traffic to convert.

I am not so sure it is an "art" but there are definitely many things one has to pay attention to. A video has to be engaging, compelling, relevant and be able to grab the attention of the viewer. One must make sure that the video is reaching the right target. Keywords are also super important. A clear call to action is also imperative - if the viewer doesn't know exactly what you want them to do after watching your video - changes are they won't do it. Those are just a few other important factor to consider.
