Today I had a great phone conversation via Skype with Lisa Bruckner, CEO of Hendricks Park. As a chile-head, Lisa's post, How to correctly pronounce 'wasabi', piqued my interest: ... How do you buy matching clothes? Are you "dressed for success"?

p.s. I'm guessing you're in "Goat-en-Buuurrrg", not Goth-en-Berg.

True Martin!

It'd take a looong book to include even a partial list of things Americans mis-pronounce - like our neighbor to the south, Mexico (Mehico). Us Americans always say "Toy-Ota", when it's Toe-Yo-Da (no "oy" sound). How about the Shogun Emperor Ieasu - it's ee-ay-ah-soo, 4 syllables, each vowel is a separate syllable. How about wrong country names like Ireland, Germany, Italy, France, Spain, etc. Those are all wrong ("Anglicized").
