Digital health startup, Grand Rounds, just closed a $55 million round of venture capital at a $750 million valuation.
The new round brings the total amount of funding up to $106 million.
The company was founded in 2011 in order to connect patients with expert physicians in order to get a second opinion on a serious medical situation.
Today Grand Rounds’ app and website connects specialists in over 110 institutions in the United States to users in more than 120 countries.
Patients can be paired with experts who are uniquely qualified to help their situation no matter where they are located.
