Four government agencies have online sites devoted to helping small businesses cope with government-related programs and general business information. The Small Business Administration has a toll-free number and an e-mail answer desk; the Department of Commerce's International Trade Administration and the Kauffman Foundation offer one-to-one counseling; the Securities and Exchange Commission and other government agencies offer financial advice; and the IRS site answers questions about tax returns.
