As a passionate evangelist for blogging, and for most of its social media descendants, I agree wholeheartedly with your evaluation of blogging, not just as a branding or marketing tool, but as a sales tool as well. Is it critical for bringing in new customers and cementing relationships with existing ones? You bet. And for all the reasons you mention. In fact, if it's OK with you, when someone asks me next time about the importance of blogging, I may just send them a link to this article too.
