Not everything you try in sales will work the first time, nor will it work every time. And not everything that fails should be abandoned. It takes years of studying and learning the rules to know when and how to break them. And that only works sometimes.

A great Jazz musician once said first you had to LEARN EVERYTHING, but you then had to open your mind up into a blank page to truly improvise. Of course in sales, it's a bit more risky. (It was John McLaughlin, a true master of improvisation in both Jazz & in eastern "Fusion".)
