I think imagination is very important when developing our business. But to get to that point takes dedication to be childlike, creative and visualising beyond what we know and already experience.
My biggest challenge is always looking at how others do it - then thinking I have to do the same - when I should be tapping into my own resources and curiosity to bring forth expanded or new ideas.
It's hard when one is trying to keep on the pulse of competitors (which is our default position). Some time away from the day to day of running our business helps to broaden perspective.
One thing I have noticed with being part of a business community, is ideas come un-expectantly from others in their own industry - this can be both refreshing and empowering.
You have exposed our need to be more childish - it's where the imagine has most momentum!
