People have this ability to both sense and take on another person's mood and it is called emotional contagion. As a leader, there is a much greater likelihood that you can infect your company with your moods.

Really fascinating as always. This is another indication that leadership really has a great deal to do with self-mastery. Or at least, it has to do with creating the state of mind within yourself that you want and hope will become a part of your company's culture. It also really indicates the need for a high level of self-awareness. You absolutely have to know what you're putting out there.

Thanks for adding your thoughts. It is becoming more and more clear that leadership in the current business environment (and indeed has really been important in past also) must include emotional intelligence. This begins with self-awareness.
