Back in the day (our day, at any rate), children ran free in the yards and streets and climbed trees and played with frogs and worms and other nasty, crawly things. And, on occasion, it even transpired that the frogs and worms (and other even more bacteria laden things) wound up in our pockets or mouths or hair. And surprisingly enough, we didn’t die of some strange frog borne disease – au contraire. We lived and we learned and grew to be healthy, well rounded children.*
