According to the economist’s outlook blog the average age of a real estate agent today is 53 years old. That is slightly down from 57 a few years earlier. But it has us thinking, why aren’t they more people getting started young in real estate? Is there a stigma for going to real estate school vs. a 4-year college?
31% of all real estate agents today do have a bachelor’s degree. They already graduated college and started in other careers. These other careers either didn’t produce enough money or took too much time out of their lives. These people began to look for something different. They wanted to find something that could produce money and time with their families.
