Hi Yoni,

I love that spell checker gives options such as English (Australian). Last I heard we do not have a different language from the Brits, except of course for the local slang.

Due to a mistake made many years ago the old read it backwards has worked for me.

Yonatan,

Excellent point. A great example of never overrelying on technology.

A+ for the article and 20 extra bonus points for presenting it as usual with amazing style and charm!

Duncan,

AI? I think we know what happens when machines gain intelligence:

1) Skynet in Terminator

2) Hal 9000 in 2001: "Just what do you think you're doing, Dave? Dave, I really think I'm entitled to an answer to that question."

and

3) Wargames: "Would you like to play a game?"

Thanks for commenting and I hope your remote doesn't turn against you!

"Computer Intelligence" - Ain't!! If you have the spell check that automatically changes things as you go, you've really got to be on your toes. The worst is when a machine 2nd guesses me - even my TV remote makes me push the button 2-4 times - it's not sure if I'm sure ("Did you REALLY want to change the channel???- I think NOT!!")
