Do you leave everything to the last minute out of fear, boredom, or just sheer lack of focus? Google just acquired a new start-up that can help employees and business owners alike fix their procrastination problem.

The Tek Team:

The different apps have different features that I am trying to integrate in my personal productivity system (F.I.X IT!).

Workflowy - the overall visual overview in a simple tree structure. The master worklife file.

Trello - a visual workflow of your to-do activities (to do, doing, done). TrendPal notes for podcast episodes.

TeuxDeux - beautiful layout, similar to a paper calendar.

Eisenhower matrix - a tool for prioritize your stuff (do first, schedule, delegate, don't do).

GoodTask apps - based on iPhone's Reminders app. I will give it a try in order to get things done.

I am afraid that daily notifications on your phone, could be a distraction. I will start to have mobile free time periods, early in the morning and late in the evening.

You could find the episode on time management on SoundCloud (TrendPal). I haven't had "time" to publish a blog post with show notes yet! ;) We will do a follow-up episode on different approaches to productivity.

Hey Lyceum,

Thank you for your great list of time management applications. I will be sure to check them out and hopefully I will be able to implement them into my department.

Also will look up your Podcast on SoundCloud. Who knows what new information insights will be learned! :)

Yes, I read. I was pulling your leg a bit and did a play on words! ;)

I am a mix of old school with a Moleskine notebook calendar, index cards, whiteboards for the personal kanban workflow, and high tech tools, e.g., Workflowy, Trello, TeuxDeux, Eisenhower matrix and GoodTask apps.

I wonder if Timeful will get you more stressed with all the notifications? I haven't tried it yet, but I think I have to check it out. Lotta Gergils Aston and I recently had a podcast episode on Time Management.

Hey Lyceum,

I suppose my timing on your joke was off with me, I was tackling my seemingly endless to-do list! Haha ;)

It sounds to me like you have a nice blend of both old school and high tech tools to ensure you are always organized. I'd imagine that Timeful's notification system will be similar to how we receive daily phone notifications. In terms of high tech tools you mentioned are there any that you prefer over the another?

Also, thank you for the recommendation on your Time Management podcast episode. I will definitely check it out. I look forward to hearing what insights you and Lotta Gergils Aston provide.

I want to read this post, but I have to do it some other time! ;)

I like the Timeful video. Great way of indirectly tell the viewers of the importance of a to-do list.

Are you using the Timeful app?

Hey Lyceum,

Hopefully you will find the time to read the article, it might be worth your time! ;)

I actually did look into the Timeful app, and it seems to work pretty well for people on-the-go. I personally am old school though and like to use a pocket planner to book my daily activities! However, I am willing to try out Google's time management app when it comes out soon.

Have you tried using the Timeful app?
