Sysomos is great but comes at a price and a hefty one at that. Google Analytics is brilliant and more so because its free. I like Social Mention but unfortunately their alerts don't work last few times I checked. Thanks for the list! :)

Hi Melissa,

Very comprehensive list including tools I'm sure are less familiar to readers. I don't know how many routinely think of Google Alerts and Google Analytics as social media monitoring tools, but certainly the potential of neither of these should be forgotten.
