In Europe you could find plenty of different microblogging sites in different languages. Mainstream media has covered Twitter pretty much lately.

Mac: I personally think that Twitter has to improve its search engine. I like the #hashtag, but in the latest version of Twitter, they have hidden the advanced search features in some strange way.

I look forward to a piece on why you should be on FriendFeed. My wild guess is that it will start to become more popular now when Facebook has acquired the company.

#hashtags are missing. With #hashtags, people that didn't know you existed will soon find you.

Zane this is a great post as usual. 26 was my favorite, it gave me a good laugh.

Shawn I have to agree it seems like Twitter has hit a tipping point where I used to have to work to get buy in then seemingly overnight the tables turned and I have had several approach me about using Twitter.

Shawn - we still have a ways to go here in Europe. The positive spin on that is that it is often very easy to get on the top country lists on Twitter simply because there is less competition. Things are changing even if it feels slow.

Hey Zane,

Believe it or not, Twitter is no longer a hard sell to lots of clients I deal with. Most are excited about the opportunity of adding the feature to their social media campaign.
