Great points, Jason, which could be expanded to any social media channel you decide to use. The first two lines of your post say it all. "Not every Twitter account has the same purpose for every business. The best way to approach using Twitter for your business is to decide what you are looking to accomplish when using this medium." Too many business owners hear only how important this tool or that one is to marketing their business. The fact is that some channels will be more important to your business than others and your success will be determined, like everything else, by how you use them. Using a tool just because someone told you to, without a plan, is NEVER a good idea. Thanks for sharing!

Very true Shawn these could work for other social medias as well. Loved your point about picking the right channel that fits you and not just settling for what others tell you or picking the most popular social media.
