I have tried to figure out why Apple bought Topsy. You are right that Apple's social music thing, Ping, didn't give an echo (pun intended;) in the social media sphere and therefore this deal could be a comeback. What do you mean by this statement: "Twitter is embedded in Apple’s iPhone products."?

Could you get Twitter stats with a Topsy app on iPhone?
