I haven't updated my first blog since my 13th annual blog report. I will continue with EGO blog, here on Blogger / Blogspot, but I will not write so often in the future. My main focus will be to update my forthcoming "umbrella" site, TeaParty.Media, for my social media activities and tea hobby business.

Please, check out my crowdfunding campaign for my first book on tea, over at GoGetFunding.com.

On this blog, I will publish cat photos, philosophical ideas and retro blogging stuff, e.g., blog carnivals, memes, etc.

Addendum: If my stance for tea and the Boston Tea Party is creating a storm in teapot (teacup), well, let it be. If it is not someones cup of tea, he / she could stick to some other beverage... ;)

I welcome a discussion / debate, adding additional 2 cents to the conversation, anytime. I am for free speech! :)

I am the real "honest tea" (pun intended) enthusiast out there in cyberspace and at tea parties.

All the Best,

Martin

P.S. Thanks for spreading the good word re. my crowd-funding campaign for my first forthcoming book on tea. :)

Some fantastic marketing ideas here from your personal journey, Martin. Tying a product or service to an idea that is both historic (the Boston Tea Party) and contemporary (the current Tea Party Movement) is both provocative and memorable. What would you say are the pros and cons of this approach. The Tea Party is controversial in some quarters here in the U.S. and, of course, plenty of entrepreneurs urge steering clear of politics. But you seem to be deliberately flirting with the controversy here. I'm wondering whether you think there'll be any fallout.

Heather,

Thanks for your comment.

Palle Frid Svensson and I have made the following statement on TeaParty.nu blog:

"This site does not belong to a political party or the modern tea party movement in any form, shape or manner. That said, we will write posts on politics and the tea party movement and talk about the Boston Tea Party in 1773. You could read about our fundamental ideas under the Tea Tank section. [Editor's note: You could view it like a new and fresh type of think tank!] We will create an open forum with discussions on tea and entrepreneurship for business minded individuals at our Tea Club meetings."

I often get the question at mingles, mixers and event: "Are you supporter of the Tea Party movement (seeing my hoodie or cap)?"

And I reply: No, but... ;)

It is conversation (kick) starter and as you say, it is memorable. I get the opportunity to tell them the story of the historical Boston Tea Party and the parallels with today's politics.

Best Premises,

Martin

P.S. You could also see a tea party as a celebration / event / tea ceremony / gathering etc. ... :) Think Mad Hatter ongoing tea party... ;)
