Every few months there's an anti-Facebook fervor that arises, occasionally brought on by an interface change but usually brought on by privacy concerns.

I think the problem occurs when something that WAS entered as private on FB is made public by FB w/o the user's consent. FB CAN do what ever they want, and people will continue to complain. If enough left they might actually listen (though I doubt it).
