So many businesses wonder why their likes are not translating into more revenues. This post explains why more Facebook likes does not suddenly mean that your business is awesome. It's still all about customer experience on social media, on your website and in your store or office.

Well, a great number of likes does have an effect on a person unconsciously....that's my personal opinion. The higher the number, the more credible it looks like (unless, a business buys them which I certainly am not in favor with)

I agree that the number of likes has an impact on how a business may be initially perceived. The point of this post was more that just because you get the likes, does not mean that your service and the experience your customers have with your business can take the back burner. In fact, it means that you need to be that much better to maintain a positive impression online and keep those likes. In the example I gave, I talked about how the business had many likes which may have brought more people in their doors (it certainly motivated me to want to try this new place), but in a matter of only a few months, because their business fell short in so many other areas, the negativity on Facebook caused them to take their page down. Having likes does not make your overall brand experience awesome, it just makes you look good initially. But to have an impact on Facebook, or any social media platform, you need to follow up with this initial interest and give your customers an incredible experience so that your business can be awesome all around.
