One of the best ways to do this is to mention them in your posts, or implement their suggestions and write a case study post about the results you've gotten from their suggestions.

Nice article and good infograph Tony.

Here's another approach...

If you know the "players" in your industry, you can simply be a regular commenter on their blog in addition share their posts on social media.

This helps you stand out amongst all the other people and helps build a relationship with them.

When the time is right, write a post and mention them in it. Let them know that you referenced them and they are more likely to 1. Read the post and 2. promote it in their social sphere of influence.
