Is there a Dark Lord of the Sith in control of your social media campaign? How can you spot one? These are good questions if you want to maximise your social media investment returns.

Lord who?! I have to brush up on my Sci-Fi knowledge! ;) Should the word campaign be together with social media?

Content marketing is similar in that people do tend to abuse it. But there are more controls with blogging and website control. For instance, keyword stuffing and link farming is recognised by Google and your page rank is dropped (or site removed from the rankings) when detected. With Twitter and other social media platforms, there is little actual policing. Twitter do monitor how many tweets you send out per hour / day - and that can get you temporary ban. But that is minor and almost nonexistent.
