From Alex Williams's post:

Make blogging a core way for how the company communicates to each other and the world. You will never need a social media director if a lot of people are blogging. People who write are forced to think. That’s a good thing. It’s actually nutritious for the mind.

Charles Carmichael: I think that the TechCrunch piece is based on much common sense and it is refreshing to see that the social media hype is gradually entering the stage of an established marketing mix and a way of best practice throughout the organization. It will take time, due to the fact that social media is a "double-edged sword"; if you don't know your "why," it will hurt your business if you start to use new media. That's why an organization will benefit of having someone coming the outside, challenging the employees in different ways.

As an social media evangelist, specialized in organizational leadership of the value & supply chain, I see plenty of opportunities in 2013! :)
