Michael Scissons, chief executive of social media marketing firm, Syncapse, says his company has done the math and come out with a report. What's more, Scissons shares with blogger Gene Marks the formula your company can use to figure out what your Facebook fans are worth too. How much have they spent on your products in the past 12 months? How much loyalty do they have to your brand and do they intend to purchase more of your products or services in the future? What propensity do they have for mentioning your brand to other potential clients in the future? You'll need to answer these questions and more to figure out exactly how much these Facebook fans of yours are really worth.

It is ironic that Instagram is worth more than the newspaper which the article is published! ;) Have they calculated how much the average reader of the Grey Lady is worth? Could it be more than $174? ;)

Putting a cash value on every Facebook fan! Very creative approach. Maybe we should all look at ROI this way!

In theory, I think it is a good idea. The problem is that Facebook can't send the check to every fan at this moment! They should have created an affiliated or referral system at the beginning.
