Your small business marketing plan is all about getting the word out, attracting new customers and keeping the current ones, right? Is there any marketing tool that can do all three of these things? One of the most effective marketing strategies is to reach your audience where they are. But if you can cultivate that audience and build a loyal, engaged community, every additional marketing effort you make will have a bigger effect. If you feel like your marketing efforts are getting stale, your next step should be to consider creating a podcast for your small business.

Lyceum: I do have a podcast. It's more of a hobby, for fun podcast than one for business. Me and a friend talk about movies and tv. Cinepinions.com

Jordan: I will check out your podcast! You could search for my free standalone podcast app, EGO NetCast, on Apple App Store, Amazon Android store and Google Play.

Love it!! I started a podcast a few months ago and it has done wonders. Its inexpensive (you can even record them with your iPhone - although I don't highly recommend it) and a perfect way to share your knowledge. Also, I have learned a ton from the guests I have on the show so its been a winner all around.

Mike: I will check out your Marketing Impact podcast.

You can record your podcast episode with your iPhone. I am doing that. I am using BossJock app for my solo shows and Ringr app for my interviews. You could learn more about Ringr if you listen to my interview with Tim Sinclair.

I agree with your statement regarding the learning process. I have learned plenty of stuff during the years of podcasting. And I think the listeners of EGO NetCast have done that too! ;)

All the Best,

Martin Lindeskog

Great article. The thing about podcasting is that it's very affordable and super marketable. The upfront cost for decent equipment is minimal and once you are setup it really doesn't take that much time to produce an episode. Just be patient and listeners will eventually find and appreciate you.

Jordan: Welcome to BizSugar! Do you have your own podcast?

All the Best,

Martin Lindeskog

P.S. I am patient, due to the fact that I have been podcasting since 2006! ;)
