The graph 3/4ths of the way down says it all. The timeliness of Twitter - having to be there when the tweets come in is daunting - but not nearly as daunting as taking the time required to become an "expert" at tweeting (making lists of those whose tweets you actually want to see, etc.). FB is much more intuitive, and just plain looks better. A stream of tweets looks like a bunch of gobbildy-gook till you open it up. I'm not in the least surprised that Twitter has leveled off while FB & YouTube are still climbing. If the graph is fully accurate, it looks like Twitter had one major spike in the spring of '09, that's it - level before & after.
