As for now, I will stick with the old design because I like to read dark letters on white background, compared with the new background with light colored bio text. I like that Twitter is trying to come up with new tweaks and updates on a regular basis. I would like to see more of personalization regarding searches, tips on who to follow, historical data, etc.

The new Twitter features seem to bring with them a lot of possibilities. Haven't had the chance to delve into it much yet, but your post will be a very helpful guide when I have the chance.
