It's helpful to fail in order to learn. Most of my successes came from learning from something I did incorrectly. I'm glad you learned those lessons.

This is a great article, with some very practical and real world advice. Even though none of us likes "failure", we do, as you say, learn more from it. I also thought your points about building a strong brand and going where the people are make a lot of sense. Social media and other online communities give us ready access to groups of people; it's just smart to tap into these existing communities as a first step to building our own.
