Miranda - Great topic for discussion. I always advise my clients not to work with or even hire spouse or any close relatives. When it comes to small business you cannot mix business and personal lives. Your life as small business owner is challenging as it is. Including spouse or close relative in the mix only complicates situation. For one thing you cannot be brutally honest in this situation and it can hurt your business. You may also find yourself in awkward situation in trying to balance the personal and business decisions.

The best solution is to avoid getting in that situation to being with.
