I think the principle is basically the same. There are probably some things an entrepreneur can't do without starting up depending on the kind of business you plan to be in. But I think some people talk themselves out of getting started because they think there is just too much stuff they need to get ready.

When I was an amateur musician without much to spend on gear, second hand really was the way to go - otherwise our band would never had made it anywhere. I'd imagine the same principle applies to all enterprises, too!

Thanks for sharing Stacey's guest post. There's nothing wrong with second hand equipment...or free stuff or maybe even consumer gear depending on the business you're in. Entrepreneurship is about making due with the tools available, especially when you're starting out.
