Right mentor can make a HUGE difference in the success of your business. If I can add one more suggestion - after you find a mentor make sure you take the initiative to seek his help. Come up with the timetable for meetings, put together the agenda, ask right questions and seek advice. The mentors are usually busy and your job should be to make it easy for them to give you advice.

Hi Nellie,

Yes, I think listening is VERY important! A mentor is most useful if he/she understands where you are coming from and your needs. Otherwise, how can you really make a mentorship relationship work?
