Not formatting in terms of changing the words...formatting in terms of paragraphs and pics...the blog is very tempermental...it reformats huge spaces and paragraph breaks if you don't space things exactly.

Interesting, Yoni!

The redcoats DID have a bulls-eye "painted-on" that the Yanks aimed for: the X-shaped intersection of their belts, which was very close to their heart.

Prof. Eugen Weber in his 52 part series "The Western Tradition" pointed out a neat non-coincidence: the eastern & western Roman empires correspond Very closely to NATO & Warsaw Pact/Soviet Union. Once again we were up against a red enemy (at least our governments were).

Glad you enjoyed and thanks for your interesting thoughts on NATO and the Warsaw Pact. You have so much knowledge and wisdom, you should really consider turning it into articles.

Anyway, about history, one of my greatest loves...I passed it up in college but I am now on the verge of fulfilling my dream. I have found a prof at a local university who has agreed to let me audit some classes for free. I can't wait.
