Netflix just arrived here in Ireland and I signed up, had I previously read this post, maybe not! If they failed so badly to listen to their customers, you have to wonder about the management, really?

Wow, I had no idea Netflix was in so much trouble. But I guess we don't have it in Australia.

At the end of the day, these are important lessons for EVERY business. Listening to what your customers want is paramount. And with social media now, it is possible to easily and affordably do exactly that.

It will be interesting to watch what happens next...

It's the presence of such feedback tools that makes missteps like this so hard to fathom. But, of course, the best feedback tools in the world still require that you listen and pay attention.

Hi AngelBiz,

My big question is, did they ask their customers in the first place? Did they do any significant marketing research before this huge change? It seems impossible to believe they would have done this without asking how people felt. Yet, if they did, how could they have missed all this opposition beforehand?
