It’s scary just how efficient the Nazis were at directing an entire country, including its population and industry, towards their evil goals. Everyone knows about the big three corporations that worked with the Nazis.

Hi Valentine.

Although he wasn't a business, per se, let's not forget rocket guy Werner Von Braun. All his SS party sins were forgiven because he could build a great rocket for the US - ending with the mighty Saturn V that got us on the Moon. No mention of his party affiliation - which was well known by the gubmen - was allowed till after he died.

De-Nazification,

Great point.

A case of "forget the past; what have you done for me lately?"

Valentin,

I think time for full compensation has arrived, but you do make a good point: those who were chosen for labor are alive today because they were selected. BTW: I read a while back that most of the salve-laborers were Soviet POWs.

Valentine,

If you have time, check out this video about BMW in WWII and let me know what you think:

Hi Rivkah,

watching these clips, it seriously makes me sick. What happened to the Jews during the Holocaust was a tragedy.

CHRISTOPHER HOLTON, NATIONAL DIRECTOR, CENTER FOR SECURITY POLICY'S DIVEST TERROR INITIATIVE:

"General Electric is the largest profit-maker of doing business with terror states including North Korea and Iran. Much of this business has dual-use purpose (civilian and military) and much of it can be considered to be contravening U.N. sanctions.

Not so different from the compabies in the article. Money talks $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$!

Valentin (I love that name...so filled with love!)

Great posting and excellently done. Unfortunately this is a part of history that most businesses wish to forget. Profits took the form of blood and partnerships, the form of collaboration.

BMW settled the slave-labor lawsuit about four years ago. Each slave received around $5,600. Considering that many worked for years, it amounts to pennies per hour.

Then we have the next chapter today...businesses that skirt or completely break the sanctions on Iran and North Korea. In the case of Iran, it is supplying the parts and technology needed for a second Holocaust. How often money to be made takes a back seat to morality. Sad commentary.

Thanks,

Yoni

Yoni,

Good for BMW. The Germans already have to give billions to Jews for the hoax that is known as the Holocaust, there's no way in hell that they should have to pay for these crap. In war there are injustices, they should be thankful that they had the opportunity to work rather than be executed.

Hi Yoni,

Thanks for your comment but unfortunately I didn't experienced the WWII because I was not born yet but why I decided to share this story is that, it has some great message inside which some business owners will learn from.
