If you want to translate your website into another language, you may be overwhelmed with everything that needs to be done.

But if you understand the stages of the project step-by-step, it's easier to tackle.

Here are the 5 stages of a website localization project.

Darren: You have to visit Europe! ;)

Thanks for your information about your tea interest. We will talk more about this topic in the near future... :)

All the Best,

Martin

Afraid I've never been to Europe. Only the US, Canada, and China. I lived in China for 8 years. My favorite tea is Yunnan black. Puer is also great. I've got tea that I bought straight from the farmer on the hillside! :-)

Darren: I speak Swedish and English. I understand (read), German, but I don't practice it. I have tried to learn Inerlingua a couple of times. I will visit Spain in the autumn, so I will try to learn some phrases.

All the Best,

Martin

Hi Martin, My company does dozens of languages, but I personally speak Mandarin Chinese and English. English is my mother tongue. How about you?

Darren: Thanks for your reply! It would be interesting to find out how many sites located in the United States of America and in Canada, have their sites in several languages, e.g., in Spanish and French.

All the Best,

Martin

Indeed! I've seen one site that had a localization hall of fame, a list of the best localized websites. I forget the URL now though. I remember one of the best was the Jehovah's Witnesses' site. I think another one was Apple.

Darren: Welcome to BizSugar! How many of all the sites in North America are translated into another language, than English?

All the Best,

Martin

Hi Martin, That's hard to say. I'd definitely like to translate/localize more of them! Having a multilingual website really allows a company to reach out to new markets. It can be a great investment!

Best,

Darren
