As our time online increases and our need to be green increases in order to reduce our carbon footprint, mobile phones, tablet PCs etc.. are a great alternative. We must remember that PCs do have a carbon footprint and going to these new smaller devices will have a tremendous impact. We evaluated the Google search myth on our blog DeMythsRTried and revealed that: while we generated much more CO2 online than reported, Google's data centers are not the issue. The issue is "us" and our "tools". Moving away from the SUVs of Desktop PCs to small devices will help reduce the impact of our time online.
