Can You Eat or Sleep Without Your Smartphone? We all have become so dependent on our smartphones today that it makes me wonder – can we live without them for any length of time? Must we always eat and sleep with them by our sides? If you eat with your smartphone you could be eating a lot more than if you were fully concentrating on eating. Research has shown that smartphones can make us fatter. And if you sleep with your smartphone you may not be getting a good night’s sleep unless you can leave it on silence mode. I’ve had many a night when buzzes and lights went off. You can set a timer for all your applications so they shut down while you sleep. You could also find an app to help you eat better, exercise or one that can put you off to sleep.

Lisa: I look forward to your review of the sleep cycle app. The producer of this app, has now created a new one, called Power Nap. Check it out! :)

Hello Lisa,

I use a laptop more than anything because for me it's better for me blogging. I like the screen to be a certain size. I don't know maybe that's just me but I know a lot of people who can't live without their smart phones. I have a friend who uses her for everything. She says she loves gadgets. She knows all the ins and outs of the smart phone. I do think they are nice to have though. It's cool that the phone can do everything the computer can. Thanks for sharing this with us!

For blogging a laptop is easier. I once published a post that I meant as a draft via my smartphone. But it's great for social media sharing and more qQueen Maa.

Lisa: I am using my smartphone during my meals now and then, e.g., checking in at coffee places and taking pictures of the food and tea. I have tested the app Sleep Cycle and you have to have the phone in your bed then, in order to measure your sleep activity.

The best thing with the mobile phone is the on/off button... ;)

Hi Lyceum, I like that, best thing is the on/off button :) . I haven't used the sleep app yet, sounds interesting though.
