thanks for your comment,

Exactly the same thing that crossed my mind. As we all know - there are no metals, mercury included, that is both liquid at room temperature and yet attracted to magnets.

So, no - it is rather much different from Mercury and is very technical in the process. In a nutshell, it is much like mixing small particles of Iron into a liquid.
